The Inception Workshop for GES Maiden Edition 2022
The Terraskills Graduate Employability Skills (GES) training is poised to equip graduates with requisite 21st Century skills and emotional intelligence necessary and sufficient for 21st Century living, for self, business, community and the nation.” Terraskills aims to enhance the employability of 10,000 Graduates across the 36 States in Nigeria, and FCT.
The Inception Workshop
On Wednesday 31st August 2022, the inception workshop for the Maiden Edition of the Terraskills Graduate Employability Skills (GES) training was successfully held at Terraskills with 18 out of the 20 shortlisted candidates, as the other 2 were absent for personal reasons.
Arrivals
Upon arrival at the inception workshop, the candidates were first given warm red-carpet reception and a tour of Terraskills state-of-the-art facility. The Inception workshop began with an Opening Remark by the General Manager of Terraskills, Mr. Donald Ejieke Ogbuwa.
The Special Guest of Honour
The Distinguished Senator, Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (Baraden Borgu), Deputy Chief Whip of the 9th Senate was the special guest of honour at the event. He encouraged the candidates to make good use of the opportunity presented to them.
The Programs/Presentations
The shortlisted GES candidates were briefed about Terraskills and also the GES Trainee Policy to keep them abreast with the rules of engagement for the GES training.
Subsequently the Program Manager of Terraskills, Mr. Ada Ada Innocent presented a paper on Bridging the Digital Gap to open the candidates understanding to the possibilities of increased participation, collaboration, and advancement in the digital skills sphere for employment.
The General Manager of Terraskills gave the candidates lecture on the Progress Mindset; what it means; what makes it different from the fixed mindset; steps to developing a growth mindset and manifestation of success!
The GES Unique Brand Ambassadors
In the course of the GES Inception Workshop, the 18 GES trainees were conferred the honour of being the Unique Brand Ambassadors for the Terraskills GES training for a period of one year from 31st August 2022 to 30th August, 2023.
By the end of the inception workshop, the GES candidates were given appetizing meals, and group photographs were taken.
The Opening Ceremony for the GES Maiden Edition
The opening ceremony for the GES Maiden Edition 2022 is set to commence on Tuesday, 13th September, 2022.
