“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail”
Benjamin Franklin
To create a productivity plan is to think and carefully set out what to do for productivity, why you need to do them, how to do them, where to do them, who to do them, when to do them etc. Thus, allowing you to focus on activities that are essential to productivity and success.
The earlier you plan for productivity this new year, the quicker and better your chances of success. However, despite effectively making plans for productivity, many people still fail.
To avoid failure in your plans, here are some tips;
#1. Identify your purpose for productivity.
This has to do with having and knowing the reason why you want to be productive. Different people have different purposes for being productive. While one person’s productivity purpose could be to gain acknowledgment and influence, another person’s productivity purpose could be to gain affluence.
Identifying your purpose for productivity can serve as a drive and motivator to setting and fulfilling productivity plans.
#2. Ensure your plans are SMART.
Your plans are SMART when they are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely. You should also ensure to reevaluate them for accuracy and make necessary adjustments as you proceed.
#3. Don’t be Lazy
Laziness is an enormous contributor to the loss of productivity. When one’s motivation to avoid efforts outweighs one’s motivation to do the right thing, one may become lazy. To achieve your productivity aims, you must learn to overcome laziness.
#4. Rest
Sometimes it is productive to rest as rest can help you recover your body from stress and recharge your brain to be your most productive self.
Knowing when to take a break and giving yourself a moment to relax is essential to being productive.
#5. Avoid Distraction
Distractions are productivity traps, and they come in many ways and sizes. Regardless, all distractions can ruin one’s focus. One needs to be self-disciplined to avoid distraction and achieve set plans for productivity.

Most times we determine to act, with all seriousness and zeal . Still yet we find our self not acting. The cause is not lack of planning but, a complex and too much goal’s set for a particular period of time. Try and just choose one out of your written plan , act on it , and see if you won’t yield positive results.
