The Young Professionals Hangout, Maiden Edition, 2022
The Terraskills Young Professionals Hangout 2022; an interactive event poised to engage young professionals on matters relating to employability and self-sustainability was held on Saturday, 19th March, 2022 from 10am to 2pm at Terraskills.
The programme kickstarted with discussions on the Life of a Job Seeker, as young professionals are faced with different experiences and challenges in their quest to become gainfully employed.
The host of the event, Miss Falade Olaitan, and some participants shared their life stories as job seekers, and important lessons were drawn from them. Miss Falade also shared stories from the educational series; the Life of a Job Seeker explaining the pains of an average job seeker and important lessons they should learn in their quest to become gainfully employed. Mrs. Marvel Jime, a legal practitioner, and the CEO of ConstantSee APP shared her experience in tech world; explaining the prospects, and challenges in the tech world and how to adapt to those challenges. Watch Video
The Programme Manager of Terraskills; Mr. Ada, Ada Innocent discussed how Terraskills is bridging the digital gap; explaining the importance of digital literacy in the 21stcentury, and how Terraskills is helping individuals build relevant technological skills to enhance their careers. Watch Video
Mr. Diran Adegoke, a professional Human Resource Manager, and coordinator of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) discussed employability tips sharing important lessons from his career trajectory experience. Watch Video
At the end of the event, the General Manager of Terraskills Mr. Donald Ejieke Ogbuwa gave closing remark encouraging participant to take advantage of the lessons learnt from the event. Watch Video
Subsequently, participants were treated to nice meals and warm red-carpet reception.
