Onboarding Corps Members into the Terraskills Digital Skills Training (TDST)

Following our successful graduation ceremony for 2022 Batch A Corps Members on Saturday 20th August 2022 for Data Analytics training, today at Terraskills, we onboarded over 25 Corps Members for the second batch of the Terraskills Digital Skills Training (TDST) for Corps Members.

In our rapidly changing, hyper-connected world, the information and communication technology (ICT) industry is driving economic growth, innovation, and job creation. More than 50 percent of today’s jobs require some degree of technology skills, and experts say that the demand for the technological skill is going to skyrocket.

In spite of the huge career opportunity created by Information and Communication Technology, a significant percentage of the Nigerian youth are being left behind; as employers worldwide say they often cannot find people with the right skills needed to meet their business objectives, especially when they are recruiting for technology-related jobs.

As a means of enhancing the employability of Nigerian Graduates, and helping them become more self-sustainable, Terraskills in collaboration with NYSC is equiping Corps Members with requisite 21st century digital skills that align with market demands to help them build their career and greatly increase their chances of securing employment and achieve career success.

Courses offered in TDST include:

  1. Data Analytics
  2. Digital Marketing
  3. Graphics Design
  4. Blogging
  5. PowerPoint Presentation for young professionals.

At the onboarding ceremony, the Corps Members were; given warm red-carpet reception, taken on a tour of Terraskills Facility, enlightened about the solutions offered by Terraskills, given warm welcome to Terraskills by our General Manager, given orientation about Data and their learning journey.

The practical TDST training commences fully on Saturday, 24th September, 2022 at Terraskills. The onboarding ceremony for 2022 batch B Corp Members was successful. The event was fully covered by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), and will be aired soon.

Terraskills for Kids Inhouse Challenge 2022 was Successful!

The super interesting Terraskills for Kids Inhouse Challenge 2022 was held live at Terraskills on Saturday, 13th August 2022.

The aim of the challenge was to celebrate and encourage skills acquisition among young Nigerians by awarding scholarship opportunities to enable participants learn coding, and earn a brand-new laptop among other benefits.

How Kids Won!

Kids won scholarship on training fee at different levels based on their performance in the following challenging activities and fun games:

  • Early arrival to venue:               10% discount
  • Computer based aptitude test: 10% discount
  • Number games:                        20% discount
  • Egg-walk games:                      20% discount
  • Blind-walk game:                     20% discount
  • Water-ball game:                      20% discount

Nine (9) amazing kids won scholarships at different levels for the coding class.

The 4-weeks coding class commences on Monday, 15th August 2022 with 20 wonderful kids.

By the end the coding class, the best performed kid will be awarded a brand-new HP Laptop, and other amazing gifts will be awarded to runners-up.
