Terraskills Learning Systems Limited is an innovative tech company dedicated to Training, Skills Development, and Lifelong Learning. As at 2023, we successfully trained over 5,000 individuals, entrepreneurs, and professionals across both the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy.
In our unwavering commitment to excellence and empowering our learners, we conducted a comprehensive 10-year Tracers Study to evaluate the impact of our training programs. The results were remarkable, with over 85% of our successful learners gainfully employed. Additionally, we received commendations from their employers and colleagues, affirming the quality and effectiveness of our training initiatives.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) report, Qtr. 3, 2023, the unemployment crisis in Nigeria surged to 5.0%, which is a significant increase from the 4.2% recorded in Q2 2023. This alarming trend underscores the urgent need for decisive action to stem the tide of joblessness in the country, and its far-reaching consequences. It is with this, that the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp was birthed.
THE GOAL OF TERRASKILLS TECH BOOTCAMP:
In response to the pressing need to equip young individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in this digital age, Terraskills introduced a Tech Bootcamp, an initiative designed to train 10,000 young people in essential digital skills, with the integral goal of securing a brighter future for them by leveraging tech skills and remote work opportunities.
WHY THE TERRASKILLS TECH BOOTCAMP?
- Addressing Unemployment Challenges: The Terraskills Tech Bootcamp aims to provide valuable tech skills to young individuals to create sustainable employment opportunities and foster economic empowerment.
- Lack of Skills: The Terraskills Tech Bootcamp serves as a strategic initiative to bridge the skills gap and equip young people with in demand tech skills needed to thrive in their chosen career paths.
- The Unstable Dollar Rate: In response to the high cost of living due to the fall in Naira, the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp opens up avenues for individuals to generate alternative sources of income and lighten the impact of rising costs.
- Adaptability to Remote Work: As remote work opportunities continue to gain prominence, the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp will help in providing individuals with flexible income-generating options that can help offset the impact of the economic fluctuations.
OBJECTIVES OF THE TERRASKILLS TECH BOOTCAMP:

- Hands-On Experiential Learning: Through immersive and hands-on learning experiences, the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp seeks to provide learners with practical opportunities to apply their newly acquired skills in real-world scenarios.
- Career Transition and Advancement: By providing access to hiring partners, industry certifications, and personalized career support, the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp aims to empower learners to confidently pursue new career paths and advance in their professional journeys.
- Empowerment Through Innovation: By nurturing a supportive and collaborative learning environment, the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp seeks to instill the confidence and capabilities necessary for learners to shape the future of the digital economy.
COURSES FOR THE TERRASKILLS TECH BOOTCAMP:
- Product Design: This course will help participants unleash their creativity in Product Design, transform ideas into tangible solutions that captivate and inspire and work with Product Design teams.
- Data Analytics: Individuals will learn how to transform data into decisions in Data Analytics, as well as unravel the stories hidden within data to drive innovation and success.
- Webflow Development: Participants will be trained on how to craft customizable websites with extensive integrations with versioning.
- Digital Marketing: This course will help participants harness the power of social media, SEO, and content marketing, to captivate global audiences.
- Backend Development: Individuals will be trained on how to use Python to build powerful software, that makes a difference in everyday lives.
WHY WE CHOSE THE ‘LEARN NOW, PAY LATER’ TUITION MODEL?
Terraskills is dedicated to making tech education accessible, which is why we have introduced the “Learn Now, Pay Later” tuition model. We understand the financial struggles young people face, and that is why we have come up with this model, to help support young individuals to acquire any tech skill of their choice, without the burden of hefty training costs.
The original tuition fee for each of the courses is N150,000, but under this model, students only need to pay a N20,000 Naira Admission Form fee to enrol in the program. Participants will only be required to pay the tuition fee in instalment, if they are able to secure employment within 1year of completing the training. This approach is designed to remove financial barriers, provide flexibility, and empower learners to focus on acquiring these digital skills and their career advancement without immediate financial burden.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE TERRASKILLS TECH BOOTCAMP?
The Terraskills Tech Bootcamp welcomes a diverse range of individuals who are eager to acquire valuable tech skills, regardless of their background and experience. The following groups are eligible for enrolment:
- Youths: Young individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to enhance their skills.
- Women: Women seeking to explore opportunities and excel in the tech industry.
- Undergraduates: Students currently pursuing their undergraduate studies and looking to supplement their education with practical tech skills.
- Students: Individuals enrolled in educational programs at various levels, eager to expand their knowledge in the field of technology.
- Individuals: People within the age range of 18 to 45 who are motivated to acquire essential tech skills for personal and professional growth.
CONCLUSION:
The Maiden edition of the Terraskills Tech Bootcamp which closed on the 18th of April 2024, received a total application of 3,741 applicants out of which 438 were selected to participate in the maiden edition starting on 25th May, 2024.
To crown it all, the maiden edition has been proudly funded by the GES Foundation, which means that all the 438 shortlisted candidates will go through the entire three (3) months training, FREE OF CHARGE.
