Program Overview
Month 1 - Foundations
This first month will introduce you to the foundation and core concepts of cybersecurity. You’ll learn about network fundamentals, operating system security, common cyber threats, and the principles of cybersecurity like the CIA Triad and defence-in-depth. We’ll lay the groundwork for more advanced topics and ensure you have a great understanding of the cybersecurity landscape. Understand fundamental cybersecurity principles and concepts. Identify common cyber threats like malware, phishing, and social engineering. Grasp the basics of network security and network security and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS).
Month 2 - Guided Project
In the second and final month, you will have the opportunity to explore a specific area of cybersecurity that aligns with your interests and career goals. This could include network security, cloud security, application security, or digital forensics. We’ll also focus on career development, including resume building, interview skills, and understanding the cybersecurity job market. Understand the fundamental concepts and challenges of cloud security. Identify and analyse common security threats and vulnerabilities specific to cloud environments. Learn and apply best practices for securing cloud infrastructure and data.
Month 3 - Capstone Project
